Tom’s of Maine was the first company to really focus on environmentally-friendly personal health and hygiene products, and are still the best at what they do. They offer any number of all-natural products, from toothpastes and deodorants to nasal decongestants and cough suppressants. They are a company that really tries to put the wellbeing of others first. Their website is a reflection of that attitude. It’s a basic site, but the relative simplicity of design enhances the experience. The signup and ordering processes are extremely easy, and the product line is specific enough that the customer can find whatever they are looking for in a hurry. Tom’s understands that they have a very strong core customer base, and a bunch of bells and whistles aren’t going to sell more soap. What will lead to more sales is a great product made easily accessible, and Tom’s has a wonderful track record in that department. Still, there are a lot of interesting things on this site that are not product-related. This company really is a fascinating one, and a browser would be well-served by taking some time to investigate. Tom’s provides access to their mission statement, as well as some news items related to the company. There is also a section where the science of Tom’s Research and Development Department is discussed. All in all, Tom’s of Maine is run by good people who care about the world around them. The fact that they provide an excellent product is just icing on the cake. |
