There are plenty of places out there with fairly wide selections, but few can compare to the all-encompassing musical embrace of Tower Records. Their retail stores are enormous monuments to musical commerce; their internet operation at TowerRecords.com is just as strong, allowing customers access to a vast inventory of music without even leaving the comfort of their homes. The best part is that Tower Records is far more than just music…you can get movies and DVDs, too, as well as various types of collectibles and gifts. Whether you’re a fan of pop, hip-hop, rock, jazz, or even classical, you will find a wide-ranging selection of titles falling within your genre of choice. There is even a feature onsite called the Music Genome Project, which is one of the more interesting features you’ll find on a retail site. Basically, you start with an artist or song that you enjoy. Then, using various criteria of song features, such as “funky lyrics” or “dynamic lead singer”, the MGP finds artists and/or songs that have some inherent similarities to your initial choice. This helps you find new artists that you are more likely to enjoy. It’s really pretty cool. This is a fantastic site for anyone who loves music…check it out. |
