The internet has changed our lives. There’s no denying that. We’ve rapidly advanced from a culture that relied on a slow trickle of information to a society that has near-instantaneous access to the various and sundry goings-on in the world. In less than a hundred years, we’ve gone from waiting a week for the news to waiting hours, even minutes. The internet, along with the proliferation of cable and satellite television, is the main reason behind that rapid information ascent. One of the most affordable and reliable internet providers out there is Juno. They provide excellent dial-up service for prices that are half that of many of their leading competitors without a discernable drop-off in service quality. By spending just a few minutes of your time and a few dollars a month, you can be surfing the internet with the best of them. Still, that isn’t the end of the story. Internet capabilities must evolve, too. From the interminable waits of the first dial-ups, we have reached an age of various high-speed internet services. Of course, today’s dial-up is far faster than the one of even two or three years ago, but the technology has advanced beyond, into the world of broadband and DSL. However, some of those services are a little pricy. That’s where Juno comes in, offering an addendum to their wonderful Platinum Plan called SpeedBand. SpeedBand operates as a data compressor, allowing certain internet information to be sent and received faster than normal dial-ups allow. However, some information will not be accelerated; check the site to make sure that the service is right for you. All in all, Juno has done a great job of creating a first-rate ISP while still maintaining an affordable price. |
