The joy of the department store is that it saves us from having to make multiple trips to buy everything we need. The deciding factor is convenience. So too it goes with shopping via the internet. Again, the major factor is convenience. Put the two together and we have a match made in heaven. Of course, as with any market niche, some sites succeed more than others. One company that has been particularly successful with its conversion of the department store to the internet is Overstock.com. This is an extremely popular site. The design is wonderful, with an exceptional layout, pleasant color choices, and clear images. The navigability is extremely high. Still, what sets Overstock.com apart from its competitors has got to be the pricing. The bargains abound on this site. Everywhere you look, there’s a fantastic deal. The merchandise is quality and the prices range from great to unbelievable; some of the discounts are quite literally immense. Plus, as with any good department store, the inventory is vast and varied, with all sorts of different items clamoring for your attention. Apparel, electronics, sporting goods, not to mention loads of home and bath items…there is just so much to see. The people at Overstock.com have admirably filled a niche. They are brining quality goods to the netsurfing public at reduced prices. A word of advice; take your time with this site, because there’s always a chance you’ll find a flat-out unbelievable deal. Browse away…it’ll definitely be worth your time. |
